Set Goals and Live Life

If you’re like me, you can’t believe that it’s almost June.  Soon, this 2017 year will be half-way gone.

It’s a time to reflect on what we have accomplished or if we’re still dreaming to accomplish a goal.    When reflecting on the past, we have to remember that we can’t go back and change anything in the past.

While we can’t change the past, what we can do though is took take the past and look to future.  Without the past, we can’t see how far we’ve come or if we’re still on the right path that takes us to our goals that we have set.

The questions to ask and to reflect on are:

Did I set a goal?

Is my goal realistic?

Have I started working on the plan to reach my goal?

What is that goal that I am trying to achieve?

What have I accomplished?

Do I need to make an adjustment?

What do I have left to reach my goal?

Do I still want to reach this goal?

Excitement is key to any goal setting.  If we’re not excited about our achievements and the goal that we’ve set, we have to ask ourselves “Was it worth it?”.

If the answer to this question is no, then “Why not?”.   “Why doesn’t this goal excite me is the question you should be asking?”

Sometimes the answer is there before us.  Yet, we don’t always want to answer the question because answering the question will tell us more about ourselves than we’re willing to admit.  So, we live with where we are now and without passion.  Often, not setting other goals because to do so would only bring disappointment.

“Failure is not Failure” unless you stop trying.

So, set goals.  Live life.  More importantly, live with hope that life is meant to pursue your hopes and dreams.
